This game is my least favorite in the series if im being honest here. The new DE is NOT great at all often being slow and making moves feel not so great. A lot of new characters introduced here are straight up forgettable and lets not even talk about how bad the final boss is personally.
All in all, theres not much here to go back to when it comes to plot or things to cherish.

You can really tell they went all out with this one, but in my personal opinion this is one of the peaks of the series.
Between expansions on old characters and introducing loveable new ones, the gameplay and story really shine thorough even if it is slow at times.
Great music, fun side content with a lot of memorable moments, whats not to love here?

I really love this game, i know many people online crap on this game constantly for some weird plot points but the gameplay, ost and the new characters are great. It introduced series favorites such as Akiyama and Saejima which i love both dearly both narratively and gameplay wise. Still hate that final boss though it is pretty ass.

I know most fans hate this game violently but i think theres a lot to love and hate about this game. Personally i think some of Kiryus best moments are in this game interacting with the children at the orphanage and the new friends he has made.
However the combat and the boss fights are.... very tedious to get used to. A lot of the problems in this game stem from it being the ps3 original with no upgrades and it shows.
Best ost in the series but this game is mixed for me personally, i see why many call it the worst in the series.

This game is a double edge sword for me, on one hand a lot of the characters are charming and a lot of the remade moments are some of my favorite in the series.
However, DE combat is often slow and sluggish and this game might be the worst care of it.
The side content however is very fun, a decent entry in the series for what it is.

First game i played in the series, but even with my special nostalgia to it i think a lot of aspects have aged poorly due to it being faithful to the PS2 original.
The boss fights are straight up god awful and a lot of the side content is boring if going for completion. The ost and story climax are where it really shines for me though, its an alright game for what it is.

I played this shortly after Kiwami 1, and it ran up my list for favorite video games ever.
This is what got me more into the series and eventually made me fall in love with it, theres really not that much to complain about here only praise really.

Absolute perfection. The pinnacle of the genre. A lotta love and talent put into this one.
I could write a whole essay on how good this game is, but bottom line its one of my favorite games ever. This game is why Tales of is so good to me. Best cast of any rpg ive played and a great story to boot, This game will be on my gravestone

Great cast and story, with a rememberable OST to boot.
However, this games gameplay compared to the rest of the series is very bland and even tedious at times.
Still a great game though!

This game is really special to me, it made me bond with an important person in my life.
The game itself is also great, i cant praise it enough for what it does right.
I do have a LOT of smaller problems with it though so im not giving it a perfect score, but this game will always sit in a special place for me.

First Dragon Quest game and it didnt really win me over at all to be honest. The game is WAY to long, has too much mandatory grinding and lets not even start with the 3rd arcs plot, or the awful ost the entire game.
While it may look pretty, its certainly not a game id really go back to if im being honest with myself.

This game is really good when you look past how slow and archaic it is, a lot of good aspects but it desperately needs a remake

While this game did age a lot, not having a good localization and even some technical problems this games artstyle and simple but enjoyable story really made it a good experience.
The Ost is also astounding, i hope Capcom remakes this gem one day

All though a decent game, i cant really say in good faith that it didn't disappoint me in some aspects.... a lot of the soul that made Tales Of one of my favorites in the first place is straight up gone in this game.
The new gameplay is a 50/50 from me, while fun it really just made it less interactive then before. The plot never really stuck with me and neither did any of the characters get really good in my opinion.
As a hardcore Tales Of fan, id say this game was okay to semi good

Near perfection of a turn based rpg, i dont know how RGG studios did it but this is one of the best turn based RPGS ever created.
Ichiban as a new protagonist is great, his story and new characters he brings are all awesome.
My one complaint of the game is near the later end of the game it forces you to grind, which ive never ever liked.
