Roguelike/Roguelite Elements Assortment
Just a shorthand list of replayable games with procgen and possible meta progression that I have played/a passing interest in.
43 Games
Completed and loved the main game, Kaycee's mod made me love it even more, DAMN good update!!!
1
"Completed", sorta, IMO anyway. May come back to it but I lost my saves so I'd have to reset, damn good game though
2
Currently Playing, probably the best Roguelite storyline to make use of the genre and with DAMN stunning visuals, really great I just suck at it lol.
3
Played, might revisit later, pisses me off like none of the other games on this list though I get ANGRY angry when I play this game. Still a fantastic Roguelite though.
4
Playing, picked it back up after playing it a lot in 2013, this was an underrated gem back in its' day and it still holds up as a really arcadey fun roguelite to just hop into. I need to beat the harder difficulties.
5
Played. I like it, it's nice, even though I die early a lot. might play around with from time to time.
6
Played. I got past the first boss and never much farther than that, a lotta updates and dlc have been added since I last played which is real daunting, plus I never really got a good hang of the game, but it DID feel great and still has some great aesthetics so I might come back to it.
7
Played. Didn't play much, but it's another good example of Roguelike Metroidvanias (which is a niche subgenre where I'm only aware of this and deadcells fitting into it...) So it's got that going for it!
8
Played. Love the grapple mechanic it's really fun to swing n shoot it's a very comfy fun pick up and play game. Even though I've not gotten past the first ship in any of my runs, that's just me tho I suck lol.
9
Played. I've been playing this from time to time and at first I didn't vibe with the movement feel but I guess they patched it or I got used to it? Feels better to control and it's a fun pick up and play roguelite to waste time with, with a fun halloweeny/newgrounds feel to boot.
10
Played, Neat little stealth Roguelite.
12
Played a bit back in the day with friends, remember it being a cool teambased tower defense survival roguelike, so there's a lotta interesting moving parts, would have to organize a new friendgroup for it tho...
13
Played only for a moment. Like, not even a whole run. I should get into it though it's pretty foundational in terms of these twinstick arcadey roguelikes.
14
Not Played
15
Played. I should get farther in this, it's endless super hot so there's not much to say other than it's good and can last longer than the original game so that's all plusses
16
Played. I played this early into its' release, like when it was an itch.io demo before it released on steam. There were some updates that I felt were losing me so I hopped off, I should go back to see how it is now because it really is special as a survival horror roguelite, and with a kinda horror aesthetic that isn't simply "low poly horror" but s'got a bit more gas to it.
17
Not Played. I played Prey, loved it, love roguelite elements, this should be a no-brainer. I'll get to it eventually, I hear it's really good...
18
Not Played. Cool comicbook style.
19
Not played. Looks really fun/fast/frenetic, a First Person kinda hotline miami roguelite with a LOT more speed from the looks of it, really cool looking aesthetic too.
20
Played just to try it out but left it at one run. I heard a lot of people disliked the game or were disappointed by it? I'm not sure entirely, I'd like to go back to it to see how it fairs now, might be worth it to have another just boomschutt roguelite to play on off time.
21
Played.
23
Tried Out briefly.
