My first persona game, and it was phenomenal. I loved the characters, the gameplay, and most of the story. The story kinda dragged a little bit near the end, pretty much December and January, but the ending was so worth it. I have the urge to play the game again or get persona 4 and jump right into that, but I definitely need a little break after over 100 hours logged in. I’m so glad this was on game pass so I could experience peak.

Objectively the best souls game, but I’m not sure it’s my fav. But man, it’s still so good. I love the open world and the bosses and the lore and literally everything. Can’t wait to replay it before he dlc.

One of my favorite games of all time, this is almost perfect to me. The characters, the story, the gameplay, which, takes a little getting used to at first, but I still find very fun. It’s still fun to just turn on and ride around and just do your own thing whenever you want. The 100% grinds sucks tho and I’ll never do that again.

My first final fantasy game. It was gonna be 15 but I really wanted to play 7 remake and went, nah, I should play the original first, and I’m so glad I did. I love old games, they’re just so unique and have their own charm that most newer games don’t have. I’m a much bigger sucker for turn based combat because of this game now.

A very interesting remake of the first 6 hours of the original. This game is so full of filler, but like, I don’t hate it? Most of it is nice and adds more to the world and characters and it’s done quite well. Sometimes it overstays it’s welcome but it’s not too bad. The combat changes are so fun, I love the combat in this game, it perfectly blends the real time action combat with the turn based combat of the original.

Meh, wasn’t the biggest fan of yuffie in the og and that hasn’t really changed now. It’s probably worse now since I find her super annoying in this. It’s short and fun tho so it kinda saves it.

A darker final fantasy game compared to the rest, which puts it away from the rest. Very influenced by western fantasy like game of thrones, which I’m a big fan of. The combat is very fluid and engaging. The story, for the most part, it’s really good and the highs of the big boss fights are amazing. There’s a lot of low points in the story that bring the pacing to a halt at some points and most of the side quests kinda suck. The game is still very enjoyable tho.

I absolutely adore this game. I played it at launch and it was a mess, yes. But now? God it’s so good. It’s so unique that every conversation you have is in real time, first person, and engaging. It’s like watching two actual people have a conversation. Love the combat and the skill trees, especially now after the phantom liberty update. The story is amazing and the main characters are all so well written. I can gush about this game so much.

Probably the best dlc I’ve ever played. All the new things added to the base game, including a new ending was such a nice change. The dlc itself was wonderful. The story is gripping and engaging and the ending is such a fucking gut punch no matter which one you pick.

Since I’m a sucker for hack and slashes, thank you DmC, and I really wanted to try the newer games, I figured I’d start with the ogs so I could get the full experience. It’s solid. The combat is fun and the story, what little there is, is interesting. Kratos at this point as a character isn’t all that much, he has depth, but, for the most part he just yells at everything. The area you spent most of the game isn’t my fav honestly, but it’s still enjoyable nonetheless.

Better combat, better environments, better story, but same old Kratos, lol. That’s like my biggest flaw with the earlier games, Kratos doesn’t grow as a character all that much (not until 3) and I think that’s okay for the most part. I enjoyed the new weapons and locations, the ending is a little messy but it is what it is. I still prefer this over the og.

This is my fav of the hack and slash era. The graphics got a huge upgrade, the combat feels more fluid and fun, the story takes a front and center seat for the most part, and Kratos actually grows as a character at the end, it’s all the best parts of the previous two put into one game. This is such and fun and enjoyable game that it’s on par with some of the DmC games for me.

Meh, I feel like this is the one to skip if you’re gonna skip a game. It’s definitely not needed. It’s a prequel to the first game, and it’s literally never mentioned ever again, lmao. At this point, the formula was getting a little stale, as this was the 6th game they’ve made so far, and it definitely started to show. The story is, okay, I guess, and the combat is actually a little bare bones compared to the other games. It’s still enjoyable for the most part but don’t feel compelled to play it.

I’ve always heard about how good this game is, and I’ve always been like, it can’t be THAT good, I was wrong, it definitely is that good. I’ve always preferred Greek myths over Norse myths cuz that’s just what I knew more growing up, these games changed that for me. Norse shit is so fucking badass and I love it. It does a really good job at movies Kratos into this setting, and as someone not from this world, like us the player, it does a great job at introducing to him as well as us. As much as I like hack and slash gameplay, this gameplay really hooked me, it’s not as like, in depth with moves and combos you can do, but it’s still so engaging with what is has that it never went stale for me. Definitely prefer these god of war games to the ogs.

This is peak right here. They around upon pretty much everything from the previous game. Better story, new combat moves, plus new weapon, more character development, which I’m always a sucker for. There is literally one thing I didn’t like about the game and that’s the Atreus sections. They aren’t bad by any means, but they bring the pacing down so much and his combat isn’t as engaging to keep interested too long. Most of his sections aren’t too long so you can kinda get through fairly easily, except for his first one. That shit is over 2 hours long and it’s such a slog to get through, that’s the only real low point in this otherwise amazing game.
