2018

Best roguelike game made to date. The way the story was implemented in ludonarrative harmony with the game loop was revolutionary. The gameplay was excellent, though had small issues that prevented it from being as smooth as, say, Bastion- the first game by the same studio. Overall, a masterpiece and the greatest innovation of its year.

The first Dark Souls game I ever beat! Will always have a special place in my heart.

A masterpiece that few know about. I have an ambition to spread this game far and wide in the RPG-loving community.

The original was a masterpiece. Still some of my favorite character designs of all time. And up there with the best video game OST ever produced, alongside Chrono Cross and equal if not better than the rest of the FF opus. Let us not speak of the remaster.

My first FF ever played. I will never forget the $(%& pizza, or the golden shiny wire of hope. I never beat it as a kid (didn't have the knowledge to get a gold chocobo & KoTR to beat Safer Sephiroth). I will definitely do it on Stream at some point when I have viewers! Haha.

My second FF game, and the first FF I actually beat as a kid. Deserves all the praise it gets and none of the criticism. Truly iconic.

Probably my favorite individual Final Fantasy game, with some of the OST tracks that live in my heart rent-free for decades and play on repeat in my head. Beatrix best gorl.

If only the ending were completed, sigh...Still iconic, and the only game of its type ever released.

Played it as a kid and couldn't understand the balance of battle difficulty well enough to complete it. Will definitely do it as an adult.

Good lord the original Final Fantasy games sucked. Even as remakes! Haha. 2 especially had amazing design ideas, and absolutely bombed the execution, with the most forgettable characters of all time. The one amazing thing about these games is how incredible the music was, with some of the greatest compositions of the entire series that are still used today already present even in these primordial games, like Matoya's Cave.

My first Zelda game, played as a child on the SNES. Perhaps the game that made me a game-liker for life. Also the first great Zelda game, that cemented its legacy as one of the most iconic game series' of all time.

A great game with unique ambiance that I'll never forget. The ice fortress and ball&chain weapon stand out the most to me. And Midna is the ultimate series waifu.

Many people complain about the motion controls, but they introduced a puzzle element to combat that was really fun and innovative. I would love to see similar combat elements return in a more sophisticated form in future games. Also Zelda in this game is bae.

As a child I got stuck on Jabu Jabu's belly. Came back to finish it as an adult. Iconic game, deserves its reputation.
