The first few hours might be the scariest shit ever put in a video game. I couldn't beat it for years because Jack was so fucking scary. Probably the most insane course correction ever.

This kicks so much fucking ass. If Resident Evil 4 wasn't already a game and the highs of RE4 2023 weren't due to RE4 2005 being perfect it would go in 2nd place.

Such a fucking weird and bizarre game, can actually be really funny and whimsical in ways for some reason the RE2 and 3 remakes just weren't.

Ranks this highly because I love Claire's cool outfit in the original. Also because it's fun.

Breathtakingly racist in a way that makes you wonder if the devs are actually kind of dumb, but so much fun in co-op.

Realistically I don't know if this is better than everything below it but I feel much more good-will towards it than RE6.

Imagine Re3 with all the cool stuff removed and replaced with a bunch of stuff that sucks except a cool section where you and Hannibal Buress fight a bunch of zombies.

i have revised my list, as i believe i really undersold how good Resident Evil 96 really is.
