Games Featuring Transgender Characters
Inclusive of nonbinary/gender neutral characters. Please be aware that not all of these games will feature positive depictions of trans people and that some notes may contain spoilers.
If you know of a game not listed, please mention it to me!
** I choose not to include characters who are considered intersex, since not all intersex people consider themselves transgender. Exceptions are only made if the character is stated or considered to be intersex as well as transgender.
** I also choose not to include the titles Hogwarts Legacy and The Last of Us: Part II. While these games do have trans characters in them, due to the fact that JKR (who I am aware was not directly involved, though I still feel that giving the game any positive attention would still benefit her) and Neil Druckmann are enormous bigots who have their bigoted views written directly into the stories of their creations, and that they have both used money they've made off their IPs to fund harmful charities, I do not believe either of these people should be supported, monetarily or otherwise. I am not changing my mind about this and anyone who attempts to argue with me will be ignored, you are just wasting time for us both. Create your own list if this bothers you.

From Wikipedia:
In real life, Sweet-P was born male. In Mobius, the alternate World everyone was trapped in, Sweet-P is given the body she desires as a teenage feminine skinny girl. As she now has the body she desires, she does not want to leave Mobius as returning home would have her return to her overweight male body and so goes against the Protagonists, who do want to leave. Sweet-P doesn't want to transition and go through surgery in real life, as she doesn't want to make things hard for her family and also finds it's too late anyway as she is overweight and in her 30s, and as such wouldn't be able to be a skinny teenage girl in real life just like in Mobius. She does still use female pronouns regardless, though almost the entire cast bar a few characters bully her, call her male, and make fun of her for being a "fat overweight man in real life." The protagonist can choose to be supportive, but also has the option to bully her for it as well.

Scott Benson clarified on CuriousCat that he had intended for this to come up at some point in the first version of the game, but the information had gotten lost in the shuffle as scenes were rewritten and trimmed, and he didn't realize it was still missing from the final cut until it was too late. Poison is introduced in Final Fight (1989), where she is either a pre-op or post-op trans woman, depending on the region where the game was released.
She is an antagonistic NPC in the arcade beat 'em up games Final Fight (1989) and Mighty Final Fight (1993). She is a playable character in the fighting games Final Fight Revenge (1999), Street Fighter X Tekken (2012), Ultra Street Fighter IV (2014) & Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (2018).
In Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, her identity is alluded to more often. Certain dialogue during a conversation with Lucia alludes to the fact that she was born with a gender not matching with her inner being. One of Poison's win quotes, "Being gossiped about is proof of my popularity!" seemingly alludes to the controversy and ambiguity surrounding her gender identity.
