Okay - let's get this out of the way - I was a young adult and recent college grad when Fallout was released. Although, it was probably a couple of years before I actually ended up playing this game.
With that out of the way, I love this game. I love the retro-future shtick, I love the power armor, and I love that you can talk your way out of the final boss.
Didn't love the time limit, but what can you do?

The OTHER reason I knew Baldur's Gate was going to rule.
You see, there is this cat, and it really wants something from you, but I just keep getting it killed.
So anyway, you can play as this skeleton, but you need to remember to put a bucket on your head so folks don't freak out.
I guess that what I am getting at is that I really need to figure out what that cat wants.

I'm sitting here roughly 9 years after the release of this edition of this game and two things keep running through my mind. The first - where the hell have the last 9 years gone? And secondly - what was this game about?
I think that the fact that I remember so little about this game's narrative, yet it is one of my favorite RPGs ever, says a great deals about how well this title plays (and maybe something else about my memory).
I suppose I could just go back...

I was very much riding the hype train for Cyberpunk leading up to its original release (I have the preorder to prove it?), and in that first week or two I probably played 10 or 15 hours. At that point I thought it was fine, but not fine enough to keep going. (To be fair, I didn't experience a ton of memorable bugs).
And then a couple of years later CD Projekt released the long promised PS5 update - and suddenly this title went from fine to pretty darn good.
I love the look of the world, the narrative has some real moments, and over time, I found myself enjoying the moment to moment mechanics. And with all of the good things I have heard about Phantom Liberty expansion, it looks like it is time to take another trip around Night City to see if Cyberpunk has finally stepped up to "great".

Look, this is maybe one of the best games I never finished.
I absolutely love the world that Remedy is building here - the game looks great, the writing is fantastic, and the folks bringing these characters to life are great. I just don't love the combat and it is kind of a bummer.
I got to what I can only assume is the end and got frustrated with the mechanics.
But now, after finishing Alan Wake II, it might be time to go back.
