2022

I love walking.

EDIT: Okay so I wanted to expand on this more. I hated the "platforming" in this game. The cat is cute, and the world can be interesting to explore, but sometimes what I had to do and where to go was unclear, and the most prevalent aspect of the gameplay is walking, which they didn't make fun, at least in my opinion. I don't see why this game got so popular other than the cat. If you like cats, you may enjoy this game, but I didn't enjoy the gameplay at all.

I tried so hard, and came so far, but in the end, the fact this game overstayed its welcome killed it for me. If this game was shorter, it would have been way better. The story didn't really get me as it did with others, but the combat is fun.

Even though the technology and video game references got a smile from me, this game is a tech demo. Possibly the best tech demo ever made, but a tech demo.

2017

An extremely boring game. The side dodge is more prevalent than punching, and it makes it so that it feel like matches take forever because everyone KEEPS DODGING TO THE LEFT

I have tried this game 3 times.

Once when I picked it up originally: I got lost EVEN WHEN I USED A PHYSICAL MAP and dropped it

Again when my friend told me to play it again: I got farther in, but still dropped it due to my lack of interest

And then a third time: I finally figured it out. I do not like metroidvanias. Hollow Knight plays smoothly, has a beautiful world visually, but I just don't like this genre. The backtracking aspect, along with some confusing level design kills this game for me. My experience overall was a 2.5/5.

Mario Kart 7 is a game that I have such fond memories of. Playing the courses with friends at camp using download play really was an experience you couldn't get anywhere else. Looking past my nostalgia, the tracks are gorgeous. Wuhu Loop, Maka Wuhu, Daisy Cruiser, and Neo Bowser City are some of my personal favorites. There isn't really a reason to go back and play it now due to the existance of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I still love this game

Pokemon X was the first game I truly fell in love with. From the Pokemon designs, the world to explore, the 3D models, it really was such a stunning experience for myself when I was younger. Looking back at it now, it's still a fun game, but now, there are even better turn based RPGs out there. If you like Pokemon, I would give this game a try

Kirby Triple Deluxe was my first Kirby game, and I really enjoyed it. The levels are extremely memorable, the music is joyful to listen to, and the game overall is super cute and charming. Please give this game a try if you like Kirby at all, you wont regret it.

A very charming and silly game. It has lots of really fun platforming moments, and the level theming is great. I hope this game gets a sequel of some kind, or the studio makes another 3D platformer. They really did well with this game, and I give it a recommendation

This is a great expansion to the original Shovel Knight. The movement changes and the way it affects the level design blends together into a magical experience. I give this DLC a recommend, but play the original Shovel Knight first.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that I played at launch, December of 2020. This review does not take into account the new content they have added to the game since release.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a really fun game. I loved playing as myself in a Cyberpunk world, and it's extremely fun to explore Night City. However, what takes down the experience for me is the way the world didn't tell me where the cool side-quests were. I missed a lot of the really cool side content, and it sucks, because I don't feel like going back again for another playthrough at this moment. The game has gotten a lot of bug fixes, and I believe that the developers intend to fix even more. If you have any interest in this game, I would give it a shot.

A great expansion to an already great game

These days, if I'm playing Rivals, its for the workshop. If you took workshop out, it's still a really fun game, but I never got as invested in it as I got with Smash Ultimate. I still would say give this game a shot, its really fun.

This game is grindy as hell. I hated the grinding. I literally had to grind to beat the final boss, then cried at the ending. Man, what an adventure this game is though. I really enjoyed it, but will never go back due to its length and how grindy it is. This game has more grinding than salt and pepper

Pokémon Omega Ruby is a great modern reimagining of the older Ruby and Sapphire games. As a kid, I really enjoyed these games because it was a game everyone had played already, but I got to experience in a new way for the first time. If you like Pokémon, I would give this one a try
