I love the battle system and the hallways don't bother me but the cloister of trials ruin the thing for me.

I swear a major part of the hate this game receives is due to the Scholar re-release. The enemy placement in the original version is fair and the DLC, the best content in the game, isn't a puzzle to unlock. Speaking of the DLC, it's some of the best souls content outright. Brume Tower especially, with Fume Knight being a series Top 5 boss.

Rat race is so absurdly precise for a single player game, what the fuck???

Absolute perfection of platforming control

When you play through this game you keep getting surprised by how many QoL features are present despite the games age. Dragonball artstyle is fkn great. The best use of time travel in any piece of media. My largest issue is that the difficulty is way too low. There was a single challenging fight in the entire game that required a different strategy than alternating between healing and attacking. Without the game providing a challenge nor any sort of tension when you're always given a save point directly before a boss fight it makes the experience less rewarding.

Streamlining the game and limiting your movement just doesn't make for anything too enjoyable when the game is this easy.

Nice spectacle, too bad the actual game isn't good.

Take out all the color, all the level design, have enemy encounters on the same tier as DS2, cut the content in half, and you have DS3. You can forget about managing stamina, cause you have a seemingly endless supply now. But hey, at least the boss design is good. In the 2nd half.

Worse version of R/S. Half a star for the battle frontier.

Fucking great game for the first year or so.

Game's made to be as addicting as possible but none of what you do actually matters

You can turn your bug, into a slug. What more could you possibly need?

Love this remake, extra collectibles are fun and infinite rolling is novel.
