What a great game for playing with friends, it's just so fun, I only dock it half a point due to the fact that even though its even fun on your own or playing with randoms, you can't truly, fully enjoy it unless you can have a full squad of friends.

Alan Wake II is a brilliant metanarrative focused survival horror game. The only thing I did not love is some difficulty spikes that made it a bit frustrating but you can set the difficulty to a lower setting for those parts and set it back up again (which I recommend, as the "story" difficulty is a bit too easy usually and it really takes the danger out of most encounters). Other than that, I love every single thing about this game.

Remedy has truly done it again.

Get to the ending, try not to cry, cry a lot

The legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom addresses all complaints and criticisms people have raised to Breath's of the Wild's approach to an open world Zelda game. Greater performance, more useful powers and combat abilities (the latter ones sadly being harder to use successfully), a much longer and much more prominent and varied OST, a much more lively depiction of hyrule and way, way more oportunities for player expression were implemented to please the most skeptical of Zelda fans.

All that being said, all those changes were done within the framework established by Breath of the wild itself, so if you did not like that game at all, you'll probably not like this one. On the other hand, if you thought it had potential but lacked polish in one or more of its mechanics, then this game should do the trick for you.

I can't recommend this game enough and I can now easily say it's probably the best Zelda game I've played.

I followed the development of this game since it was just a couple of gifs on twitter by the developer and backed it on Kickstarter as soon as it launched. It totally paid off! the animation is superb, the gameplay is pretty polished but can be a little weird if you're not used to cinematic platformers. Some checkpoints are kinda rough but usually I took it as an incentive to challenge myself to do better, except maybe the last part, that was a bit too rough for my liking, but I got through after some extra attempts.

Loved it, recommend it, it's great.

I'll be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the s tory of this game. It's mostly told through optional dialogue and the flow of the movement is so fun I just kept moving around and completing the objectives without triggering most of said narrative.

Fun, joyful and with some very smart level design, this game is just a breeze

An amazing game which masterfully combines a great deal of sci fi tropes into a single coherent story across 13 different characters across time and space, and tops it off with a very interesting tactics gameplay section.

A very beautifully crafted game made with complex mechanics that interact in very precise ways to deliver a very unique experience. Though dated in it's inventory management and map progression, both of which are detrimental to the game as they are part of it's core, the engaging combat mechanics, pristine presentation and mysterious and expertly told story more than make up for it.

I do suggest playing it with a guide in hand to avoid frustration if needed.

Cool game, even more action focused than I expected going in, but still manages to tell a story.
Voice acting kinda all over the place. PC port is pretty bad, I'd suggest playing it on console

2016

Id dared call a new game DOOM in 2016, and even more so, they dared to do right by it.

One hell of a game (no pun intended)

Doom eternal focuses on all the wrong parts of it's predecessor leading to a really dissappointing experience.
Tutorials that interrupt your gameplay constantly, "Weak points" that that can only be hit with certain weapons, forcing you into a specific way of playing the game, way too much lore dumps, long platforming sections to space out the combat arenas and bullet spongy bosses that overstay their welcome.
