A perfect blend of reimagined scenes from the original, and completely new content. This game expands so much on the FF7 universe, and it's an amazing time experiencing it all the way through! The exploration of the open areas makes the game so much better than Remake, as it allows for more freedom while playing and is what makes up an amazing gameplay loop. There's a ton of great character moments as well that flesh out the cast so much, making them probably my favorite in any game. Just like the original there's also a ton of great minigames, my favorite easily being Queen's Blood. Getting to reexperience some of the best moments in FF7 in a whole new way made this journey something special, and reminded me why I've always held FF7 close to my heart. While some of the new story content might not sit well with all players, I was fine with it for the most part. Easily one of my new favorite games of all time!

As someone who has only experienced Granblue through the fighting games, and didn't play any of the mobile game, this game is a great entrance point into the Granblue world! The combat hits all of the points I like in an action RPG, and reminds me of games such as Xenoblade and FFXIV. The story is fairly interesting, and while it's not the most original story I've witnessed it managed to be enjoyable all the same. The main fun of this game is the online portion and I can see why considering it makes grinding much more fun especially with friends. I hope they continue making games in this style to expand upon the world of Granblue Fantasy!

This game was an amazing journey from beginning to end. I have not had a gaming experience this meaningful in a while. I loved almost everything about it from the combat to the story and characters. This story does an amazing job exploring themes like freewill and the human condition. It does so through an immersive world, addicting/expanding combat, and lovable characters. Easily one of the best in the series!

This game really exceeded my expectations, yet it also fell behind in some areas. The gameplay loop of exploring the open areas and collecting iconic DQ monsters is the core of the experience. They also have dungeons in each area which are hit or miss. Some of them are really fun, while others can be a convoluted mess. Synthesizing towards stronger monsters becomes addicting, especially if you find one you really want. One aspect I'm conflicted about is the story. In some aspects it goes beyond the generic DQ story with you playing as the villain and seeing Psaro's descent into hating humanity. Yet the way the story is told can feel pretty bland and disconnected at times. The story is enough to get you through the experience and not much more. Get ready to hear the same couple of midi DQ tracks, since this game hardly has any original tracks to call it's own. The performance is iffy. In some portions it's fine, but when the weather changes or in certain spots it tends to dip a little bit. The graphics/art style I actually really like, some of the areas are really pretty and feature pretty seasonal changes. Overall, this game is something that really surprised me. I planned on skipping it entirely but since I've gotten my hands on it it's been hard to put it down. This game is honestly a great time, but with a little more effort it could have been so much more. Highly recommend for fans of monster catching, Dragon Quest, or someone looking for a simple JRPG.

Solid platformer that really harkens back to the classic 2D Sonic games. The level designs and concepts were fair enough. However, one that really stood out to me was the cyber zone! If more areas had unique gimmicks like that this may well be one of the best 2D Sonic games. The emerald powers were fun to mess around with, though most of them went unused. I'd say the worst part of the game is definitely the boss fights. They go on for way too long, and have some annoying, scripted behaviors. Makes them feel like a drag to fight against. Overall this is a worthwhile 2D Sonic game (but not for $60) that brought me back to the good days of classic Sonic!

A huge improvement from the first expansion. The gameplay loop is expanded on with the addition of quests which can yield great rewards. The terrarium is a lot more fun to explore than Kitikami was due to its varied biomes and previously mentioned quests. Surprisingly the battles are a lot tougher in this expansion. Even with my team of level 100 EV/IV trained Pokemon, they still managed to put up a slight challenge at times, especially Kieren. Speaking of which, the story and characters in this expansion are honestly great. Kieren and Carmine become really fleshed out and develop throughout the two expansions, making for some of the better characters the series has seen in a while. Overall I enjoyed this expansion far more than the first wave, and this helps cement this as my favorite mainline Pokemon!

The game just feels like a slog after a while, especially after the twist. I enjoyed the more simple platforming and the boss battles. After a while I just felt frustrated and bored.

Forgot how much I loved this game until I played this remake. This is truly the best way to play this amazing game! The world is so vibrant and filled with life and the soundtrack adds so much charm to it. The story is somewhat minimal but honestly its enough to keep you going throughout your adventure! This version of the game adds some slight tweaks to combat but it goes such a long way to enhance the gameplay loop. Also the post game bosses and secrets are the cherry on top! This game has proven itself again to be one of my favorite SNES JRPGs and one of my favorite Mario games in general!

Such a creative and fun 2D platformer! The movement is seamless, with badges to tweak things enough to suit your needs for a certain level. Also the wonder flowers add so much variety to each level it can be impossible to tell what kind of creative idea they'll throw in! I love the new animations and visuals, since this plays a huge role in helping it stand out from recent 2D Mario games. This game is a platforming masterpiece and has easily become my favorite 2D Mario game!!

Pretty glad this expansion was free considering how messy it is. The new characters feel bland and awful to control until the very end when you get new skills. The difficulty is amped up to an insane degree, and this wasn't even advertised as being difficult so it was just kinda random. Climbing the towers was a fun challenge despite seeming a bit unfair at times. The trials themselves are so lazily put together just to be something difficult. Fighting the final boss was a pain in the ass considering the camera would just constantly mess up, and it was unclear what to even do. Despite everything though, I can't deny that I still had a decent time!

This game blew my expectations out of the water! It brought me back to an era of gaming that I didn't know I wanted to go back to. The combat is innovative and satisfying, the sprite work is fluid and beautiful, and the character/story writing kept me hooked! I knew I'd enjoy this game to an extent, but I didn't expect to love it this much. Despite a few minor gripes, this is a near flawless experience. This is easily my new favorite indie game!

This game is way better than I expected it to be. I grew up playing Pikmin games and I always liked them, but I never loved them. This game is so much different. It focuses much more on exploration which I enjoyed. The caves in this game are much better than in Pikmin 2, with the interesting environments and cool treasures to find. The gameplay loop in this game is just so addictive and the environments are so charming which is why I fell in love! Also there's much more content than most Pikmin games.

Really loved how free this game is by being able to collect parts in any order you want! The game is pretty forgiving for the most part, which I appreciate since I'm not great at strategy games. I played Pikmin 2 when I was younger and thought it was too long and linear for its own good, so I like how much more free this game feels. Looking forward to Pikmin 4 now!

Really enjoyed how simple this game is! The story is really simple, and I didn't get lost too often (only needed to consult a guide like twice maybe), and the dungeons were fun but fairly linear. The art style is charming, and the world/characters fit that. The shrinking mechanic is cool, and there are some cool uses for it, but at times I wasn't the biggest fan. Regardless, I really enjoyed this game!

This game far exceeded any expectations I once had. The amount of freedom and creativity this game promotes is far beyond its predecessor. I had so much fun experimenting with different Zonai devices to reach my goals. This game gave me a sense of exploration and freedom that no other game has quite given. The sky islands are beautiful, and filled with fun puzzles or bosses to fight. Also, the depths were a pleasant surprise. I had no idea there would be another map underneath Hyrule. The dark and creepy vibe of the depths contrasts the beauty of the sky perfectly, and ties in with the theming of the game. All of the new abilities in this game are far better than those in BotW. With those, I mainly used them when I had to and not much more. These new abilities allowed me to be far more creative, and incentivized experimentation even in the overworld. I constantly found myself using ascend or recall to reach far places, or creating things with ultrahand and fuse. The story in this game is great, and filled with a lot of interesting characters. Seeing how the world, and the people have changed since BotW amazed me, with Sidon being my favorite. This game is about building bonds with those around you, and exploring the world. Your experiences, the past, and those around you shape you and strengthen you. Such a simple theme, but this game tells it masterfully. This game has quickly risen to be my favorite Zelda game, and one of my favorite games of all time. This game was well worth the wait.
