not a particularly bad game but definitely a downgrade from its predecessors. loses a lot of the hardcore appeal that smt is known for due to the ability to save anywhere and the fusion being significantly dumbed down (any demon can inherit anything now). disappointingly easy for a mainline title

short, silly fmv game. wish more of these were around

childhood game. i think i beat it the day i got it. i was really confused because i almost never beat games back then, and i was wondering where the rest of it was

a fun dungeon crawler bogged down by barely designed bosses and an unmemorable soundtrack

an average platformer which is only really good for its historic value

good albeit very basic. bonus points for the fact that mr. mime is ridiculously broken for some reason

primitive but fun enough to play

i played this game so much as a kid that i can't stand any of the entries after it for more than a few minutes. very inventive and ambitious, but i never want to touch it ever again

more borderlands but with lesser writing and mostly the same gameplay as before

the 360 release is garbage. the steam version fixes a lot of the game's biggest problems and turns it into a decently fun third person shooter

often seen as a roadblock for alternative, which is admittedly much better, but this is still a very well produced slice of life vn with a mostly fun cast and a good sense of humor

2008

often hated for the things that it didn't do, but i feel people don't give it enough credit for the things it did well. worth playing for the player creations alone

often called a ripoff of uncharted, but that makes sense considering tomb raider inspired that series in the first place. derivative, but a totally fine action game nonetheless
