Apparently last week's changes were caused by a bug that allowed spam ratings to count towards a game's average. Now that the bug has been fixed, a few games that were added last update fell below 1000 plays, so they've been removed.

Never fails to amaze me that Backloggd's community is anti "movie-games" (relative to others) and so games like The Last of Us, God of War, etc rank lower here than elsewhere but have Red Dead 2, a game that goes even further into not being a game-y game, in the top 15.

You think it'd be more fair to merge the remakes and the original game releases altogether? That way the list can make room for other games that deserve to be on it.

There's only 3 games (RE2, RE4, FF7) where both the original and the remake are on this list, so doing that would only save 3 spots. And all of those remakes are substantially different from the original, so it wouldn't feel right to combine their entries. Personally that's why I like Glitchwave's classification the best, IGDB, for example, considers games with less degrees of separation like OoT 3D and The Last of Us Part 1 to be full-on remakes rather than alternate versions.
