First impressions matter as we know, and while trailers are basically just ads, they do be playing a major part if we buy a game or nah.

My favorite trailer of recent memory.
Perfectly showcases what this game is about and the only text displayed only enhances/tells you stuff you wouldn't get by only seeing the footage (YOU ARE A DEMON, MADE OF GLASS AND PAIN, ....). The trailers knows what the game's strengths are (mainly the unique visuals) and puts an hyper emphasize on it.

Really loving the playful "gameplay acting" that is done here with the dialogue. The red herring is cute and builds suspense and interest - makes you wanna know what happens next. Made by Derek Lieu (who also did the Half Life Alyx trailer) often shares his tought process and insight into trailer making on twitter, tiktok and it's super insightful and cool to peer into this tiny subset of game development that essentially plays a huge part if a game gets played in the end or not.

"MGSV has already been mentioned but I wanna point out that that OG trailer with the Garbage song I think really drove a lot of the mania for that game, the way it mixes images really works in establishing a dreamlike surreal tone that is incredibly evocative and also just not what the game is at all "
