For such a deep concept involving worlds within worlds. Cocoon manages to keep you moving forward without ever getting frustrated with backtracking. The art style, concept, and unique gameplay make this a puzzle game anyone can appreciate simply by looking at it.

A perfect open exploration take on the Metroidvania genre. Add tight controls and combat. With an extremely atmospheric somber vibe. These are just a few things that make Hollow Knight one of the greatest in the genre it was inspired by.

This entry feels like it's more for longtime fans rather than newcomers. Excellent throwbacks and returning characters. It felt like a goodbye to the original series.

I never played the original. But playing the remake impressed in every aspect. Graphics, gameplay, mechanics, design, music, characters, atmosphere, excellent performances, and to top it off with a fascinating story with an even more compelling ending. I never thought I would like this game, and I'm happy to say I was wrong.

Even with a giant open world, an assortment of systems, and too many planets, this game still feels empty when it comes to world building and lore. Sadly gameplay has not improved or changed much since Fallout 4. Not everyone will mind, but it's disappointing this game still feels like it's from the 360 era.

This game manages to have the best pacing when it comes to turn based RPG battles. There is never a need to grind and you never feel over or under leveled. Add a fantastic story, interesting world, catchy music, lovable characters, and great pixel art. This game is the perfect throw back to the old school SNES RPGs like chrono trigger. A must play for all who enjoy RPGs from that era.

Ishin is an old game with a new coat of paint. Not everything looks great. The controls dont always work well. Counter-attacks have very strange timing and certain fighting stances are just useless. Even with those issues it's still a fun game with the normal Yakuza (now Like a Dragon) formula. Great story, minigames, and over the top action are all here.

Tight controls, fun platforming, and loveable characters only add to this polished entry.

I no longer have to lose sleep over my plant children. With the new rewind feature, my plant children never actually died. In this new reality I can create, the Giant Bulborb never devoured them. (PS post game is insane)

The Eikon battles were amazing visual showpieces. Combat was fun even it if does get repetitive towards the end. The side content is not worth the time, not even for grinding xp. Not that you will need to. The gameplay in-between the boss battles can be very repetitive and simplistic. Don't expect any mini games or much exploration. You run down a linear hallway and fight a bunch of small mobs to then take on a mid-boss. You'll eventually get to a more "open" area, but there isn't much to do or see besides fight and pick up items on the ground. Its not a bad game, it just feels like all the effort went into the boss fights and nothing else. As an action game its great. Sadly I dont think we can call this game an RPG.

One of the best open worlds, set of characters, and story telling you'll find in videogames today. It may however be a bit lengthy for some.

It feels like a Halo Campaign with pot head humor.

A perfect throwback for anyone who is a fan of old school JRPGS. End game boss fights can be extremely frustrating and require a lot of grinding.

A perfect throwback for anyone who is a fan of old school JRPGS.
