I got this game for Christmas 94 and I go back to play it often. This game is fun, with awesome level design, fun bosses, great speed, crisp graphics, and an amazing soundtrack. With four different ways to play (Sonic & Tails, Knuckles, Sonic, and Tails) replayability is high! This game is classic. Go and enjoy it.

Classic Metroid is back and man was it fun. Lots to explore, fun boss battles, and overall challenging experience. The atmosphere each stage sets is amazing inviting to explore each and every nook and cranny. The enemy design is intimidating and creative. This game kicked my butt and few bosses made me want to smash my switch in half. But it never felt cheap. It beckoned me to want to challenge and win. The controls are great and fluid. The music is not too memorable or catchy which was a shock considering the previous games. All in all check it out if your a fan of Metroid or Metroid-vanias. If not, it’s still worth trying.

Undertake is an interesting game. Inspired by earthbound in tone this game takes you to many imaginative and interesting locations. Along the way you’ll uncover many secrets, fun characters and a banger of a soundtrack. In terms of gameplay it encourages you to spare the lives of your opponents. Flipping the typical rpg tropes of grinding on its head. Instead of being rewarded with exp for the kill you are awarded genocide points that can lead to a devastating end. Filled with tons of secrets and lore, Undertale is worth checking out.

You awaken in a coffin wih no memory of who you are or what you are to do. As you walk forward you step out to see a wide open world and this is how your adventure begins. Breath of the wild has a pan you can follow but ultimately how you play and where you go is up to you. There is so much freedom in this game to solve puzzles , defeat enemies, and explore how you want. You can go and beat the game right away if you feel so bold. There are so many secrets in this game to uncover. The cell shaded graphics make this game pop visually it is so pretty to look at. The soundtrack is calming and serene making for many chill late night sessions. I do not enjoy the dungeons too much. I miss the complexity and massiveness of the dungeons in the previous games. I also miss the many wonderful boss encounters from past games. This game is worth your time and is amazing experience.

What a blast! When I saw the trailer with its character control concept and catchy theme song I was hooked. This was the Mario adventure I had been waiting from. With homages to past games and planets of fresh ideas, this game hooked me and I didn’t want it to end. It is your typical save the princess story but the adventure is worth it. Each level feels like it’s own. Each with its own environment, soundtrack and world specific characters. Your goal is to get enough moons to get to the moon and face King Bowser. Each world is packed full of moons. They are found in puzzles, boss encounters, or sometimes in plain sight! Some of these moons aren’t intuitive to find. After the game is beaten so much is unlocked. This game is worth full price. You get so much content. A true classic in the switch era.

It’s Smash so you know it’s gonna be fun. With over 80 characters and stages there are so many ways to play. A great game to play at parties or a couple of friends. The music is great with old and new songs returning. The dlc characters add some fun variety as well with characters in and outside of the Nintendo family. Smash Ultimate is a celebration of all that is video games with references to many games. My only gripe would be that the online is not great unless you have amazing internet. How is Nintendo so behind on this while Sony and Xbox are crushing it in this category. Single player leaves much to be desired as their are no more trophies and very few options. We have classic mode which is fun but gets old quick. We have a story mode involving a spirit mechanic in which you imbue your smash characters with different powers from spirits you collect. This also gets quite tiring after some time. All in all Smash Ultimate is a fun time just make sure you have friends to fully enjoy it.

I was very excited for this game. Breath of the wild meets Pokémon is how it looked. As I played the game I was intrigued by its new and fresh concepts such sneaking up Pokémon and catching them without battling, seeing Pokémon on the open world, getting attacked by Pokémon and more. There are lot of cool ideas here but so much more suffers. The locations are quite dull with nothing too interesting. Pokémon battles between trainers is nearly gone with only a handful of fights making raising them seem kind of pointless. The music was not too great with nothing too memorable which is sad considering Pokémon’s musical history. It felt empty. After I 100% the game I felt unaccomplished and bland. On one hand I enjoyed the new things added on the other it felt like it needed so much more. I loved catching and collecting Pokémon but it misses the mark of being considered a classic. I hope they move forward these ideas and curious to see what comes from generation 9.

I first played this game when I eight and have continued to go back and beat this game again and again. This game is one of my favorites. I absolutely love it. There is so much charm in the old n64 style each world feels unique and full of mystery. With much to explore and see this game always feel fresh. The music is great and Mario’s controls are excellent. They are so fluid and easy to use. As you master them you find yourself doing some amazing game breaking feats. Every time I hit the credits I find myself in an absolutes nostalgia fest full of manly tears. Mario 64 is a classic and it’s camera can feel dated leading to unnecessary deaths. But this is the pioneer of collectathons and open world platforming. Many have tried to get close to matching its greatness and yet still this game stands out as one of the best.

Having played this game on the Nintendo switch I missed the wii experience. I heard people praise this game constantly calling it a classic. As I started the game I was not to one of how Mario moved it felt a little stiff. I was not a fan of the gravity physics on the planet and was scratching my head as to why this game was considered great. I kept playing and I had a lot of fun. But the worlds didn’t seem too creative to me. The overworld left much to be desired and I honestly wasn’t too impressed. The music is phenomenal. I respect this game and recognize it’s good traits. I can see why it’s so well liked but for me it was my cup of tea.

Your a courier he gets shot in the head and wakes up in a doctors home with your head patched together. With little information you venture out into a post apocalyptic Mojave in search of the gunman. This game oozes charm. Obsidian did great with the writing. Every stat feels useful and opens up the game to being played in many different ways. You solve missions how you want to solve them. The weapons are fun. The enemies are great call backs to 50s b movies and the factions lead to very interesting outcome. The dlc is a good time with lonesome road being a good end to the game. There is much to explore and uncover. My only gripes would be that you can’t continue the game after you beat it. The plus side is that the modding community for this game is insane leaving you with literally nearly a thousand hours of gameplay. This game can be a glitch fest at times but with modding it can be avoided. I have beaten a replayed this game many times and it is always a delight. I bought this game for 10 dollars on steam with doc included. It’s worth your time. It may feel dated but I got over that fast. In my opinion this best 3d fallout to play.

It’s 2020. Lockdowns just started and I’m stuck in an apartment for the month. I download this game and instantly forget about how crazy the world is getting. With new building mechanics and island forming it brings some freshness to a series in need of change. It was so fun collecting stones and wood to craft furniture. I loved having my friends come over to my island and hanging out chatting about life and trading fruit. I loved catching all the crazy fish and having my Aussie friends come and trade me their seasonal bounty. It was such a fun game with a banger of a soundtrack. But, it was in need of updating. Some menus took too long and were tedious. Crafting took too long without being able to craft multiple things at once. It began to feel like a chore. My villagers all felt the same. Sure they were a different animal and had different personalities but it all seemed to cookie cutter compared to previous games. Eventually updates did come out and they were just holidays wih some seasonal furniture which was neat but got boring really fast. Eventually we did get Brewster and art was added in but my interest waned by the end of 2020. Acnh was fun but with games like stardew valley Animal crossing needs to step it up more to compete in the life sim genre. Note* I have not played happy home design dlc

This game adds a twist to the fps genre. Instead of shooting monsters or soldiers your playing a puzzle game. Using your portal gun you teleport your self and a what ever is at your disposal to take yourself around an abandoned compound. The anatagonist is AI named Glados who testing you. If you fail, it’s your life. Great atmosphere. Great controls. Play Portal, it’s great.

Having been a fan of the RE series since its 1996 debut I was intrigued to see the series take steps in a new direction. After watching multiple trailers and reading Nintendo articles I was sold. I got it day one, took it home and was hooked. The gamepla was great. Lots of action. Smarter AI that out up a fight. Awesome weapons. Fun third person player action. Awesome boss fights and is fun to replay. Resident Evil 4 was well worth my time and money. So much that I’ve bought it on multiple consoles since.

Great life sim/ farm sim. So many ways to play and things to focus on. You can’t take time building friendships, crafting, fighting monsters, exploring dungeons, and farming. The music is cheery and relaxing creating a cheery atmosphere. The gameplay is addictive and takes a lot time to get old. It’s a great game and sets the bar for farm games.

I loved the first bioshock and liked the 2nd one. I heard this game was not great but still wanted to give it a fair shot. I was disappointed. The story seems interesting but very disjointed with dimensional travel seeming like an excuse for everything wih ending feeling very rushed. The action and shooting are fine. Some of the powers are cool but admittedly not as interesting as the first one. The atmosphere is a lot less tense than the first one. With everything being done in daylight. They tried to do something different but it misses the mark. The first one was the best. Go and play that.
