This game improves upon the 2nd game and tones down a lot of the tedium. The story is ok but the character writing is good and makes you care for thr main character and his friends. The combat is excellent with some new style change forms, a customized in which you can equip Megaman with added upgrades than can change combat a bunch of new and challenging bosses were added and a an epic let boss fight that is decently challenging. This game also has an epic end game challenge at the end of it. This game was the first in the series that i played and I loved it! It’s my favorite in the series and having recently replayed its an all time favorite for me.

The second in the series and man this game is leaps and bounds better than the first one. The music bops the combat is excellent with added features and a hundred extra battle chips added. Megaman can now evolve sort of withe style change feature which gives him a new upgrade and design depending on how you fight. The story is a lot more interesting than the first and pretty dark for a kids game lol there are some scenarios where I was thrown off lol even back then when I first played it. Boss battles are harder than the first and add a great level of challenge. Huge gripe with this game though. You will back track a lot and especially at the end with the infamous freezeman section that made me want to snap my gba in half. Even having played it recently I had to stop on three different occasions because of how tedious and stressful it is… but great end game. When you beat the game you get to go to a bonus area with added story elements and set up’s for the next game as well as bonus bosses and challenges. Overall it’s a good game without the excessive back tracking this game would be a master piece.

The first of the series which surprisingly holds up better than I thought. It’s the future and an alternate timeline to the og mega man series. Everything is connected to the internet and using your net navigator or Navi you must explore the internet fight viruses and fight evil navis working with the terrorist organization WWW. Combat is fun as these games are more of an action rpg. Battles are fought using a card game based system and it’s really fun especially the boss fights. Some puzzles can feel cryptic and tedious especially later (elecman are cough cough) But overall the game isn’t bad it’s definitely the first of the series and the series sky rockets from this point. Worth playing to see the roots of the series not worth 100 percent completing in my book.

A collection of 6 games really with four of them having an extra version with some have slight changes others bigger ones is a fantastic bundle. Back in the early 2000s these were some very fun titles. The game is sort of an alternate timeline to the original mega man series and instead of side scrolling action you have a very card battle action rpg. Across the series you get some booping tunes, some cool character designs and an amazing combat system. The combat in these games is fun. It doesn’t get boring. It’s the highlight of the game. Each game is about 10-20 hours to beat not including a plethora of extras in each game. As well as including Japan only exclusives for each game in the forms of extra items and op battle chips. Buster max mode adds some extra fire power if your a in jam or if you want to breeze through and enjoy the story of these games. There are moments of tedium and unnecessary backtracking in some of these titles but overall I’m shocked at how well the games hold up. They are fun interesting and very rarely feel like a slog. These games will keep you busy. Capcom also added extras to explore in terms of concept art etc as well as trophy’s (achivements) The collection is divided into two collections but just get the whole thing it’s not worth forking out an extra 20 bucks. I adore this collection these games are some of the best on the gba and getting to play them again blessed me. I had such a fun time and a big smile the whole way through. If you grew up with these you must get it. If you didn’t I’d say try it out but go in knowing that these games are from an older time. Save always lol look up guides if your stuck and be patient. The combat system is rewarding and guarantee you’ll have a good time

This game is rough. I played the original on the turbo grafx. It’s fantastic. Crisp graphics awesome music and it’s fun. This is not that. It’s a port. But a poorly done port. The sprite work is very beautiful. The soundtrack is ok. It’s snes versions of the games original soundtrack and they are alright. The backgrounds are ugly. The level layouts are hard but not because of challenge or clever layouts. It’s lazy slapped together and cheaply made. The hit detection is clunky when hit enemies. The knock back is horrendous for a Castlevania game, which is saying a lot. The last boss is one of the hardest cheapest things I have ever played and only because of cheap level design and crappy hit detection on the last boss. This game is not fun, good, or worth playing. Play the original.

I love Digimon. Grew up watching the first two seasons as a kid and eventually watched the sub and loved it even more. Digimon games, however, have often been hit or miss. The first Digimon world is one of my favorite PSone games and it’s a mess. Fun but messy. Jrpgs, pet sims, fighting games, racing games, this ip is all over the place and most games are not amazing. So I got this one on sale and gave it a shot. This game is one of the weirdest structured stories I’ve played in an rpg. The first half of this game is such a slog. It’s boring. Story is uninteresting and the characters are bland. The Digimon raising is great and collecting monsters through encounters is a good time. I almost gave up on this game. The story felt very uninteresting and felt like it had little to do with Digimon. Then half way through the game it suddenly gets good? I’ve played tons of games that start great and end pretty badly due to the writing falling apart. But this game does this in the opposite direction. Suddenly there is a Digimon focused story with Digimon antagonist and the characters suddenly have personality and an interesting back story. Cool side quest and then it has a decent ending. I was shocked. This game does have a lot of padding up and unnecessary fetch quest sometimes bland worlds. If you are a Digimon fan check it out.

I really enjoyed this game. My relationship with the Metroid series is one of admiration. It’s not my favorite series but there’s lots that I love about it. Fusion is a very fun time. A lot of your Metroid staples are more streamlined and made more linear. You would think this would be a bad thing but it was actually very refreshing. Exploration is a key staple of the series and there is some of that here but sometimes in past games it feels too cryptic and unintuitive. It’s easy to get stuck and I don’t have time to waste now that I’m older lol. The enemy design is great, the graphics are crisp, sound design is great, soundtrack was nothing too amazing. This game has some of the coolest designed bosses and some great fights. It’s fun it’s not super long and the story is interesting. I really enjoyed it and I think you will too. Super Metroid is still my fav but man this was good

Honestly not the biggest Kirby fan. Love the character and love 64 and Super Star. I heard good things about this game! I didn’t play it on the 3ds and I heard they added some cool features to the switch version! So I boot it up and fell in love with it… for the first world. The music was catchy and I enjoyed having these super power ups that wipe a whole screen! It was fun! Then world 2 came and it was much of the same until the final couple worlds to be honest. The game went from fun to a slog really quick! I beat the game and unlocked extra mode and just couldn’t play it anymore. I know Kirby games are known for being very easy and this one is no exception. But I’ve played games that are easy but fun. I just didn’t have fun. Now the mini games they added were really fun!!! Kind of like the Pokémon stadium mini games. I loved the mini games and unlockable masks but that’s it. I regret playing this game as it feels like I wasted my time. As a man of 34 who loves games I’m learning to value my time. Play games that are good and don’t waste your time. I should’ve stopped playing the minute I stopped having fun. I’m honestly disappointed . Also this game is 60 bucks and I don’t think it’s worth that. It was 30 on the 3ds and I don’t see enough to justify a double price increase. If you can get this game for 30 bucks I’d say it’s worth it for the mini games. I don’t mean to be so negative I was just disappointed.

Honestly I don’t know how to review this game. I’ve always heard about it as it wasn’t released here on the snes and it was always mentioned as a game to import or emulate. When I saw they were releasing it for the switch I was excited. I love the sprite work and the concept of a chapter based adventure through history seemed so novel! I was excited. Ninjas, dinosaurs, fighting games, aliens, giant robots !!!! These are all things I love and I enjoy surreal crazy stories. That is what I was expecting. What I got was a very slow grind of a game. The battle style is different each random battle is like a tactical rpg battle which is cool and different. I enjoy rts games but when this is constant and every random battle , it starts to drag. There isn’t an auto battle or a speed up battle option which I think would help. Each chapter has you playing as a different protagonist in a different point in history. I feel like what’s done in each of these is very shallow and uninteresting. The voice acting isn’t bad but I feel like a lot of the voices don’t match the character and hearing them in Japanese would’ve been nice(it’s only in English). The music never really hits outside of the boss theme. It gets me amped!!!! But others than that the music is really flat. I played through each of the main chapters and unlocked the last chapters and honestly just couldn’t do it anymore. I’m bored. So bored and I love rpgs!!! It’s sad because I can see how some people will love this game and I really wanted to but it just wasn’t for me. So this is where I say it’s hard for me to rate the game because I feel like a lot of my issues stem more from subjectivity (which ,yes most opinions are subjective) than the game being bad. I don’t think it’s bad. It’s just not for me. So if you love rts combat a lot and love rpgs then try it.

Excellent remake of an excellent game! Go play it! Enjoy it!

Smash on the go. It works great! Better classic mode than Wii U! There’s trophies, awesome music, and loads of fun to be had.

A fun compilations and celebration of the monster hunter series! If your playing this after playing world or ride your gonna have a rough time. A lot of what is now streamland is not here. This game and series is the epitome of difficult to master. But has a great return. The gameplay the tension. There are so many monsters to battle in this game and then you add dlc and online(not anymore but at the time) what an excellent time. This was my introduction to the series and the game that made me a monster hunter fan.

Dq8 is an amazing game. With a great cast of characters and great music it is an absolute experience all jrpg fans should have. The 3ds port changes some things. New characters and missions are added. You can now see enemies on the overworks eliminating random battle and there are a load of new features added. One of my favorite Jrpgs and favorite soundtracks!

This game is fantastic. For the time the graphics were top notch. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent character and creature design! I loved playing the old Ps1 release and when this came out it was astounding. Probably one of the best remakes I’ve ever played.

Man I love this game. By todays standard it’s Kano but man back then it was so fun!!!! Honestly it still holds up for me. You play as a group of bounty hunters tasked with discovering a mystery on a newly colonized world. What happened to the crew that arrived before? Why are the monsters hostiles and mutating? It’s up to you and the hunters guild. The fun thing about this game was that it’s 4 player couch co-op. You and three of your buddies can customize your own character and venture off on a hack and slash adventure! Back in the day you could also take this baby online. Make sure if you g eat this game that you get it with its original case ad it has a code you must put in in order to play the game. Great music. Great atmosphere. Absolutely love this game.
