Actually very positive first impressions. I haven't played a sonic game in like a decade so I had no idea what to expect, and I have been thoroughly enjoying my time over several hours of play. It's not perfect but the core gameplay sections and exploration have been very engaging so far, I'm happy to say I'm really enjoying myself.
