I loved how even past all the ending the treatment of kaine and emil never gets the ghibli treatment with their poor treatment from society with them being able to find happiness outside of those roles.

I keep thinking about that one scene where the girl gives herself diy bottom surgery+. I constantly think about euphoric body horror I think this is some thing inherent to the genre but I was glad when cronenberg flat out made it explicit in Crimes of The Future
