I saw someone else make one of these and it seemed fun so here's my GOTY for every year from my birth year (1994) onwards up to 2023, this goes by the original year of release instead of worldwide release date. Some of these years were really hard to choose because multiple all time favorites came out during that year.

Like for instance 2011 has Dark Souls, Trails to Azure, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Alice Madness Returns and all of those games are among my faves, but anyways, this is what I decided to go with in the long run based on my personal enjoyment and sentimental value. Doing this also showed me that 2005 and 2007 are some of my fave years in gaming history because SO many of my all time favorite games came out in those years and 2019 and 2021 are also incredible years as well.
