A game for every year I'm alive

for games with multiple versions I just picked the most convenient year for the purposes of making a dumb list and not necessarily the ideal version of the game

Thx 4 teh permishin pal.
Of course you would pick Halo: Combat Evolved for the year 2001. In the ultimate act of intellectual mediocrity you choose to select a game with heavy handed religious symbolism and overly simplistic gameplay, whose art style was STOLEN from James Cameron's seminal work of military science-fiction (or "milsci" for short) cinematic film Aliens (1986). Now for that year I would also pick Halo: Combat Evolved BUT FOR COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASONS

Actually I picked Halo: Combat Evolved (2001) because of the track "Covenant Dance" that plays near the end of the level "Assault on the Control Room" which is an EDM style allusion to the track "Leela", the best song on the OST from Bungie's seminal masterwork Marathon (1994)
