gotta rank those N64 games

Nothing here!

still hits when it matters
lovely game to bounce around in
bangin' tunes, genuinely challenging, keeps it fresh front to back, better than every mario kart
my favourite sports game of all time: simple but deep, great multiplayer experience, excellent single player experience, gave us Waluigi
only drawbacks are the limited number of tracks and the stunt mode lacking depth, otherwise a rich racer
wonderful game to chill with, consistent level quality, just barely doesn't overstay its welcome
an incredibly big swing, gonzo plot with lots of style, just blast at everything in sight and jump and roll around, then do it all again harder and faster
surpassed by its sequel but still a fantastic time, every ship is great except y-wings
Incredibly fun when you're in the zone but too unforgiving for me
a genuine sea change moment, it's functionally obsolete but god this was mind-blowing and still has the best version of the original Brinstar theme
more difficult on this hardware when the framerate was lower and the controller something you had to wrangle, but still has some magic in it
definitely bloated and less consistent, but the highs are high and a lot of the kinda extraneous additions are still fun for what they are
charming, in a sense the best looking N64 game today, and a solid RPG
absolutely busted to control today but fun to run and gun in
surprisingly solid 3D level-based platformer
every level swings for the fences, weird design keeps it oddly enjoyable to revisit, controls are the main drawback
wave race's less interesting sibling
don't remember the differences well enough to say one is better than another, so this is tied with Stadium 1
yeah the anime existed but it was wild to see 3D pokemon at the time, the pokemon skeleton is obviously strong and damn those minigames ruled
fixed the many issues with first MP, fun boards, easiest to chill with
can't remember which THPS I played, so let's say it was this one, a great game that I didn't spend enough time with to get a great experience out of
no N64 Rare platformer is a bad time, imo
played this more in the weird little arcade at the local airport than on an N64, solid racer
felt like the B-team taking over, ground vehicles lack depth but still a good time
just some wild dumb fun
solid, more difficult and unlock-dependent than it needs to be
customizability is neat but makes no difference, some good ideas but weirdly harsh course design and AI
on replay this one is noticeably worse

THIS GUY'S A HUMAN WALL IN THERE
in retrospect a weird idea that only something like pokemon could support in a way that people would clamor for a sequel for over twenty years
I believe that almost everyone's favourite mario kart is whichever one they played the most, some people are honest about that and some people mistake favourite for best, which is most evident whenever this game comes up because it is mediocre
was spoiled by the openness of Rogue Squadron and this always felt limited and flat in comparison
kirby has never clicked for me
where the fuck is rosie
very much a game your friend who is allowed slightly more violent games than you would rent once for a sleepover
my brother and I have had so many conversations about the walk on music used in this game
never played this outside a mcdonald's
level transition screens just being low-pixel jpgs of movie stills with MS paint text over them
