Flaws In Games I Love

Includes my top 10, as well as a few bonus ones.

The music cutting off whenever you go into a menu snapped my immersion like a twig at some points, especially with how frequently you need to use the cure menu.
The bomb defusal segment was a bit confusing for my liking.
Some of the bosses, most notably the U-3, kind of devolve into mere damage sponges once the interesting tactics for each fight are all used up.
They just put black holes in a bunch of places and they look really out of place in most galaxies, most notably with the Honeyhive Galaxy.
Some of the romances felt kind of underwhelming and I felt like there could've been some more interesting pairings. (Mainly feel this way about Takamiya)
The Arkham fight on DMD can suck my dick.
Most of the villains outside of Uzuki, Kariya and Minamimoto don't have as much presence as they should. (Stretching a bit here)
Has a really bizarre and baffling way of incorporating "multiplayer" while not using it for modes that'd be fantastic with multiplayer, like Bloody Palace.
Engage the Enemy is one of my favorite tracks in any video game but this game overuses the hell out of it sometimes. Two chapters in a row have ETE scenes (both of which involving Metal Face) and it took some of the impact out of the latter one.
The way Jade was handled in a certain section was disappointing, since every other character was done exceptionally well then. (Even S's additions to this segment didn't really fix this, though they did at least mend it a bit)
This is specifically an issue with the Nonary Games release. I feel like novel mode should've just incorporated the original text into the game instead of modifying it to match Adventure mode. Could be done more naturally by forcing the player into novel mode more often.
The bridge chapter brought me physical pain. (And they chose that of ALL PoR maps to bring back in Radiant Dawn)
The land battle segment of the final Aurum arc chapter is not really enjoyable.
By the late-game it felt like I ran out of things to do on the social side, which is an issue I didn't run into in 4 and 5. It makes the game feel more barren than it should.
It can feel bloated sometimes, with sections like the Scramble Slam and days with heavy use of the replay feature.
In retrospect, I think the twist in the endgame kind of diminishes the value in some of its more impactful coming-of-age moments.
It's been three games and Sonic STILL doesn't have an interesting moveset that represents him well. Still gonna main him tho.
Any time Yosuke and Kanji are in a comedic scene together, I feel a chill go up my spine.
The roulette power ups can come in at really awkward times, like activating one that slows down movement when all the enemies of a room have been cleared.
I need to talk to whoever thought having the missile section take place in the same mission as the final Jeanne fight was a good idea.
Prince Vorkken's fights are a sloppy execution of a really cool rival battle idea, mainly because of how unclear his tells are visually.
X-Factor kinda fucked up this game's balance beyond belief
The Library and Two Betrayals kinda stink.
The time limit mechanic in the final investigation is way too strict and is more of a minor inconvenience than anything else. (It did feel satisfying to finish everything just in time, though)
Super Sonic's ultra fast ring consumption kinda ruins the fun of using it.
It can be pretty overwhelming for a first time player to grasp all of its mechanics, moreso than a lot of other games.

Hey, I thought this was an interesting idea so I made my own version. https://www.backloggd.com/u/ACoolBlaze5/list/flaws-in-games-i-love/

Honestly, Jade did get done pretty dirty in that section of DQXI (I played S, so if it was worse, Jesus...).

you forgot to mention that more than half the game is complete trash for Sonic Generations :)
