Games I've Played With LGBTQ+ Characters

Created to satiate my own curiosity and nothing more. Games will be included no matter how good or bad the portrayal of the characters in question are. However, I will be critical.

Without spoiling too much (trust me), there are two gay characters. Similarly, there exists a character called Mama, although whether she's a trans woman or a drag queen is left unclear.
Characters from the previous Somnium Files game return. There is some weird shit going on with the portrayal of Kuruto Ryuki.
Are they bisexual? Are they playersexual? Regardless, I desire them all carnally. It's worth noting that the player can make their player character as transgender as they'd like, for a lack of better terms.
It's been awhile since I've last played, but last time I checked there was at least one canonically lesbian character.
Features a lesbian couple, a gay couple, and a nonbinary character. They are all fleshed out and important to the game's narrative.
It's just Bugsnax again. Three of the aforementioned characters are highlighted in this DLC.
The main character is a trans woman.
Features a nonbinary character.
The player character is nonbinary, the LGBTQ+ characters from Undertale cameo, and another heavily-featured character is a lesbian.
The main character is implied to be bisexual, the companion character is gay, and a lesbian and bisexual woman drive a major part of the plot. There are a couple of gay NPCs to be found outside of these examples as well.
Quina Quen is genderless, although this is handled strangely and might not count depending on how you feel about genderless species in video games. On another note, they are comedic relief.
In the game's original language, Haurchefant is attracted to the player character regardless of their gender. The English translation scraps this aspect of his character.
Features a gay man as a party member.
Playersexual S-Supports.
Adds some more playersexual S-Supports to the game. Without spoiling anything, one of these cases, however, is a bit more complicated than that. I still hesitate to assign them any actual sexuality.
Features one same-sex S-Support for each gender of the player character. Playing FE14 Revelations is not worth this. They're not even that good of options.
Features the LGBTQ+ characters of other Fire Emblem games.
Features an optional party member who is implied to be a lesbian. Later on, there is another character who is... complicated. Kyza is both a transmisogynistic stereotype and a homophobic joke in the original script. The franchise has since retroactively declared them to be nonbinary, but the matter is contentious. Regardless, in the English translation of the game, this aspect of their character is dropped entirely.
Playersexual S-Supports. Through supplementary material, I believe that some are given more to back their supposed bisexuality, but as is there is nothing to be had beyond what the player can initiate.
Adds another same-sex S-Support option for the player. To his credit, Yuri is implied to be bisexual outside of his optional romance with M!Byleth.
One of the playersexuals from Fire Emblem Fates is in here, I guess.
Features an agender and a transfem character.
The main character is bisexual with both male and female potential love interests. Furthermore, there is a quest line in the game that centers a gay couple.
Features a quest line that could end in two male characters being implied to become a couple. Similarly, there is a relationship between two women that is referenced to in another.
Features a bisexual character, a lesbian character, and a nonbinary character. The latter two are non-optional party members.
Miis can "romance" each other regardless of gender, if you'd even count this.
A major character is a gay man. While his portrayal can be seen as stereotypical, it is important to note that his writer is a gay man himself. Furthermore, the game features drag queens and a serious discussion of gender surrounding the robot companion of the game that goes beyond what one may expect.
Prominently features a gay couple and has a sapphic protagonist that flirts with a nonbinary character in one route of the game.
Features at least one pair of sapphic NPCs, if only revealed after some digging.
The gay and bisexual characters from its predecessor return.
The main character is canonically bisexual and can romance his canonically gay childhood friend. This is implied to be the canon romance for the MC out of all of his other options.
Features a transmisogynistic stereotype in the middle of the game. Nothing new for Atlus, but horrible nonetheless.
I'm not even going to attempt to touch upon this one. Don't play Persona 4 unless you're some kind of a masochist like me.
Features a couple of gay NPCs who harass a member of the main cast. It's not good. On another note, there exists Lala Escargot, but her gender identity is only alluded to and unclear.
The portrayal of the gay NPCs from the original P5 is better here, but it's still pretty bad. Lala Escargot returns.
One of the characters is probably a lesbian. Probably. It's implied pretty heavily but nothing more.
Features a couple of nonbinary characters and- if I'm remembering correctly- an explicitly bisexual one.
Playersexuality. There is some change to the dialogue and events, however, depending on the player's gender, making it feel ever so slightly more genuine, in my opinion.
Most notably, the game's true ending depends on the relationship between a lesbian and a bisexual woman. Otherwise, two NPCS- one of them a major character- are implied to be trans and two others are implied to be a gay couple.
Features a couple of nonbinary characters- including the protagonist- and a gay couple consisting of two NPCs at the very beginning of the game.
Three characters have been confirmed/implied to be either gay or bisexual outside of the game. Take that as you will, but one of them was canonized through a poll and that's funny as fuck.
