A few games that were on the old list include: Cruelty Squad, Pathologic, 0_abyssalSomewhere, Prey, Zelda II, Xanadu Next, Valkyrie Profile, Spelunky, Death Stranding, God Hand, Vagrant Story, Dragon Quest II, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins

As for my own recommendations: Faxanadu, Baroque (specifically the PS1/Saturn version), Teleglitch, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
