Digital, will not beat this. I think the core loop and upgrade system is bad. Normally Contra games are satisfying enough that death becomes a rhythmic experience, but I did not find this to be the case and eventually gave up. As a direct sequel to Contra: Hard Corps, I was pretty underwhelmed, but I also question if it was ever possible to live up to that game in the first place.

I wish I were able to get to this so I could write a review about it, and justify my totally normal fascination with this game for pervazoids, but unfortunately it doesn't actually have back compat support on the Xbox 360. Wish I knew about that before I paid for a CIB copy, but now I just have this copy of DOA: Xtreme Beach Volleyball sitting on my shelf that I can do nothing with!

I have alrady played a bunch of these to some degree so feel free to ask me anything you wanna know about them. Or suggest some stuff I'm missing (may not buy them, though. My shelf is rapidly running out of space...)
