Favorite OSTs
I don't often listen to video game soundtracks of my own accord, but these are the games I would do so with.
For crossover games, I am only considering the tracks made for the game - not tracks from other games, or remixes of those tracks. This is not a ranked list.

Every song is a bop.
This is the most chronologically recent release on this list and it's six years old... guess that goes to show that I don't listen to video game music too much. I tend to stick to franchises.

The go-to OST if I want very unintrusive noise in the background.
Goes surprisingly hard.
Mario going jazzy was such a good decision.
Probably the Mario soundtrack I come back to the most. Fort Fire Bros is one of my favorites and I'm not really sure why.
Underrated game with an overlooked soundtrack.
To me, this Pokémon OST feels the most like I'm going on an adventure, so I like to listen to it if I'm ever wanting to feel that way. Plus it probably has my favorite gym leader and champion themes.
Probably the Zelda OST I go back to the most.
Idc if it's basic, Sweden HITS
This is for Star Fox in general. Honestly, this series might have my favorite Nintendo tracks in general, but I haven't dived into it too much.
WHO'S GONNA ROCK THE PLACE

So many goofy lyrical tracks that I love.

This one gets tiring after a short while, but I get in the mood for it after a while.
The hardest final boss theme.
I don't sit and listen to this soundtrack, but I've had a few songs from it drift into my mind throughout the years. I haven't played this since I was eleven, twelve tops.
...But I still adore this one.
Favorite Pokémon soundtrack. Probably one of the few who prefers Black and White overall, but enjoys the Platinum soundtrack a bit more.
Surprisingly the first Zelda game on this list. Zelda OSTs from here on are generally things I'll listen to from time to time, but... idk games before this I just don't really listen to unless they're in a compilation.
I prefer the typical Sonic fare, but Naganuma is a musical genius.
Probably in my top 5.
Haven't played this one, but the soundtrack is legendary.
The Sonic Adventure games might be my favorite video game soundtracks in general.
Smash 4 and Ultimate could probably go on this list but I can't really remember their original tracks at the moment. Usually listen to Ultimate's OST for general series variance.
Not adding Pikmin 4 yet cause I didn't really latch onto the soundtrack, but that could change down the line.
Yes this is still classic Sonic, but this soundtrack is so good it deserves its own spot.
Correction to Silver Surfer: I also haven't really played this one.
Using this as a general classic Sonic placement. I mostly listen to 3D/modern Sonic stuff, but I still love the classics.
I'm gonna use this as a catch-all for Mega Man games. I don't really listen to Mega Man songs on their own, but some do get in my head or I'll start humming them.
Probably the only game I haven't played that I'll have on this list.
