Today, the gaming industry is one of the largest entertainment sectors in the world. The global gaming market is larger than the film and music industries combined.
Paradoxically, gamers are endlessly drowned with generic video games in a never ending loop of annual release sequel and DLC to make up for the deadline. Most developers don't think like they used to. In the beginning gaming was a passion, something worth sharing.
Re inventing the genre was so incredible, where did it go wrong ? Needless to say that not everyone today is devoid of originality but entertainment in media always find a way to become art when the right minded people is on its course.

Here is a very simple list of video game that - for me at least - made a difference.
Visually, gimmick, sound design, storytelling, time traveling, saving, camera positioning, soundtracks, cover, character. One word or another it echoes all to Art when it comes from the human heart.
