Like Wipeout, but less good and kind of frustrating

The enemy ascended beyond your control...
or was that all your intention?

Probably the best stealth gameplay of all time, it's perfect and gives the player so many options in how to tackle every mission and outpost. Generally, the story isn't nearly as good as the games before it, but there are still some absolutely heart-wrenching moments.

I just can't bring myself to come back to this game. It's perfectly adequate for a short run, but after a handful of hours it becomes a shallow, monotonous slog. The diving and the restaurant sim are extremely hollow, the characters are universally assholes and not fun to deal with, and the visuals are... charming, but when it's mixed in with the bad stuff it just feels like the game is trying to be something it's not: a tried and true indie game.

This game has quite the controversial reputation, at least when compared to the other games. But, as the end of such a long running series, it's just perfect. So emotional all the way through, the final hour and a half of the game was just me crying the whole time. That being said, I don't think it has QUITE the impact of MGS1 and 3 for me, but it's right behind them.

the best kirby, when this game came out idk what it did to me but it made me the happiest i've ever been

Todos sobrevivieron menos Sam a 8 minutos antes del amanecer.

Incredible game, and one that was very prophetic for it's time. It's really subversive, and has a lot of great, impactful, and deep themes. Also has one of the coolest villains in the series. That being said, it's my personal least favorite of the main Solid series (other than maybe V), which really goes to show just how amazing Metal Gear is.

yall just werent there when this dropped,i remember this shit was scary as fuck when i was 7

had so much fun playing this with my cousin and friend as a kid, amazing use of motion controls and gets very difficult the further you progress. i hope to see another punch-out game one day

kinda Bad game, campaign is very lackluster, online is no more and only thing happening for this game is the zombies campaigns and eve these are so dragged out that they become boring after justa few hours, and to top it off almost all the weapons feel like youre holding a toy gun that sprays enemies with seed pelets, trully disappointing

I still remember how I cried over my rank A Mochi/Dragon's death.
10/10, probaby the best one from the series.

i remember buying this game when it came out and thoroughly enjoying it. the structure isn't level based anymore which is a really great step up. they actually do really interesting things throughout the story and i was enjoying how each new area had interesting things going on. it felt like a full fledged adventure, yes the combat isn't the same as the old paper mario games, but on it's own this game is a great time and i really like it.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is confidently enormous and ambitious, a crazy leap from Remake, and shows a clear love for its source material pouring out of nearly every aspect.

I think the gameplay has seen the most improvement here, and I have to imagine going back to remake is gonna be difficult after this. It’s so much faster and more responsive, and gives you an impressive amount of options to play with. The loop of ATB into synergy attacks into better and better limits is absolutely excellent, and the increased tools to deal with distanced and flying enemies are highly appreciated. I still don’t quite understand how “Dynamic” difficulty works, aside from what I am left to assume from some strangely-placed difficulty spikes, but when it all clicks together it feels fantastic. I can’t wait to see what they do with this already excellent system next.

The story is quite good as well, it more directly follows the events of FF7 proper than its predecessor and continues to embellish and expand on those events quite well (perhaps better, even) with a clear understanding of why certain things worked. Its divergences are much more sectioned off which I think helps the game at large, give or take a couple weird placements of certain events, and I found said divergences to be much more interesting on their own merit. If I had to single out anything, I think the beginning is a bit rough as the game throws you straight into the action with next to zero effort to ease the player back into the universe, but that was my only real point of friction with it and I actually liked the ending of this one a bit more.

One of the most impressive things about it is how deeply they seem to have taken the criticisms of the first game’s side content, because almost everything here feels fun, substantial, and worth doing. Hell, in general I find it impressive that Remake’s formula worked so well in an open world format. Sure, you can rag on it for an “Ubisoft Open World” as has become the go-to (and to be fair, I think you could cut a couple lesser minigames and a good chunk of the small “World Intel” tasks and the game wouldn’t be much different for it), but most of it is content worth seeing at best and something you can probably do in 2 minutes and/or easily ignore while you’re traversing to the next objective anyway at worst. At times it can be a bit too much, I had to take a bit of a break around the middle because there the game is just A LOT, but much of the time it works, it’s smooth, and most importantly it’s good!

I don’t tend to drone on about visuals a whole lot, but this is the first game in awhile that has wowed me. There are scuffed textures here and there sure, but the game is extremely well-realized and a pleasure to look at, with a super indulgent and excellent soundtrack to match. It’s hard to describe, but some of these areas are a shockingly perfect translation of the graphics of the era into a modern style that somehow manages not to lose any of the original’s feel. However I do have to mention the graphics modes; there is clearly something really wrong with the performance mode here and hopefully it gets fixed eventually. Conversely, this is the first time I’ve used a resolution mode and it’s been consistent enough that I stuck with it, and I’m really glad I did. Also god have I missed big expensive CG cutscenes, we need to bring that back into vogue!

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth may have its issues, but rarely does a game come along that makes me feel like I’m a child on Christmas morning like this one did, and it’s hard to overstate the importance of that.

Ok, este jogo e um hack n slash com contador de hit no qual inspirou god of war, e simples e tem uma história bem bestinha, vale a pena jogar pra ver como foi a inspiração da santa monica

Cool little gameplay demo that sets up the stakes for MGSV, but there's not too much to be said other than that, honestly.

The toy animatronics revolution and it's consequences have been a massive disaater to the internet

~120 hours later, I have finished my first playthrough of P5R. I have been obsessed with this game from the moment I picked it up - - so much so that I purposefully delayed the ending by putting the game down for a while.

I went from grimacing at Kamoshida to laughing at Ryuji’s jokes and crying at Joker’s “death”. Nothing made me laugh harder than Maruki and Joker punching each other over and over again, and then Mona turning into a helicopter. And then I cried while saying “goodbye” to everyone. This game is crazy. I love it.

These characters feel like family. WTF do I do now?? Of course, there’s Strikers and Tactica, both of which are on my list, but which Persona mainline game is worth playing next - P3 or P4? Any suggestions for other JRPGs that feel similar outside of the Persona franchise? My heart has a hole in it.

Definite contender for the greatest game of all time. Absolutely phenomenal story with possibly the most emotionally impactful ending of any game, with some of the greatest stealth gameplay to this day. This is one of those games where I find it hard to say too much because everything about it is just so good, that I feel like anything I would say wouldn't quite do it justice.

É incrível como conseguiram melhorar ainda mais esse que é um dos melhores jogos de todos os tempos, melhoraram a parte técnica, a jogabilidade, os controles e a trilha sonora, essa versão se tornou a experiência definitiva do jogo!

it's a complete step down from the past paper mario games, but it is a step up from sticker star. i had an okay time playing through this game.

Crack if it were a video game. Once the goal shifts from "how the hell do we escape?" to "how many different ways can we escape? :)" it's damn near impossible to put it down.

Sat thinking for a minute like "what could i say about Celeste that hasnt been done already" "what would i say that's New to the site thatd offer some perspective" and then I stopped thinking like that, because why should *i give up just because other people were able to do some shit? why should i* go without a word?
Yea in 2018 I played half the areas of the 1st site of the mountain and iiiiiiiiiiii.. couldnt do it, i thought to myself "oh wow another meatboy inspired game, yeah nah i cant go through that bullshit again"
I wasnt ready for all that, not ready for a whole nother mountain in my life

But fastfoward to NOW, and ive scaled so many in my life now that this point I feel nostalgic
I feel this fond tinge of pain and sadness but also happiness because I know where im headed in life. I love the music, the pico8 version of this game, I like the cast and I like pretty much every level theming bracket thats thrown at you

My favorite in particular was DEFFF when feather stuff was being introduced, so fun. The final stretch of this game is some of the most uplifting shit you could ever take in too, and i STILL have content after the fact to indulge in with 64 and etc
TO DOOO

which is good because i love the gameplay so much, to the point where i even had assist mode at the ready for if i felt like id need it.. but something happened! id die so many times on the same part and not even toggle assist mode, i think because i wanted to prove it to myself that i could do it
but also with a couple things id be easier on myself if i needed a little help along the way with making a jump on something I didnt understand

And then that led to somethin FUNNY happening where I cheesed through 1 section and then i felt insane guilt, and looked up how someone did it on youtube, then i saw how it was simple and i was overcomplicating it! and then i went to see if the game would let me organically head backwards AND IT SO DID!! so then I beat it, not to get to a marker or a strawberry but just For Me

and I picked this game back up For Me, and I think its a beautiful and everlasting testament to personal growth for me and been an unsung favorite that I didn't even realize clicked with me in a way I wasn't ready to stare in the face yet 6 years ago. Seeing that flag was one of the most cathartic things ive felt this year because it felt like I just recapped the emotional run-around ive been having all that time ago. To everyone that may suck at platformers, or maybe you just genuinely cant stare down the mountains in your own life, or to those that died on the climb that cant even continue if they wanted to.. i feel for all of yall, much love <3

the style of this game is very cool, and the story is incredible. it really felt like they used all the creative freedom they had possible and made this completely off the walls paper mario game. it doesn't really feel exactly like mario, it feels incredibly unique and entirely new and i love it so much. they did take a step back in terms of the gameplay and the combat but i feel like the music, style, and charm alone kind of makes up for it.

Pretty much the definition of an all-time classic. There's no story out there like Metal Gear, and the gameplay still holds up decently well, despite being a bit clunky at times. I can't even imagine what it would be like being around for the original release of this game in 1998, it really showed just how deep and impactful video game story telling can be.
