Smash Bros Levels Ranked
I rank the smash bro stages (I only played the first three games so unfortunately there won't be any stages from 3ds/wii u and ultimate)

Smashville (Brawl) - The level itself is really good but the day-night cycle and K.K.'s saturday night concerts just elevate this to another level. Best Smash level, baybeeeeee!

Delfino Plaza (Brawl) - This level FUCKS! Everything I wanted out of a Mario Sunshine level.

Shadow Moses Island (Brawl) - I mean it's pretty much perfect. Everything a Metal Gear Solid level should be.

WarioWare, Inc. (Brawl) - One of the most creative Smash levels, I love this one so much! I mean it has Ashley's Theme, how can someone not love this?

PictoChat (Brawl) - Imagine not thinking this is one of the best Smash levels ever, lol.

Temple (Melee) - Usually huge levels like this are a pain in the ass but for some reason this one just feels so greatly constructed. There is like 4 or 5 different areas in this level and they're all fun to play. Also the music, hot damn this level is fire!

Pirate Ship (Brawl) - This level fucking SLAPS! I love the Wind Waker visuals and I love the hazards as well. Hot damn, Zelda levels in Smash are just fucking ace.

Hyrule Castle (64) - One of the better 64 stages. I don't really have any problems with it, it has a perfect size and I don't think there's anything that feels obnoxious about it at all. Very grounded stage.

Luigi's Mansion (Brawl) - Love this one and it's not just because I am a sucker for Luigi's Mansion, I think it's a really really great level.

Sector Z (64) - I always really really liked this one, yeah it has the Arwings but this level is never not fun to me.

Bridge of Eldin (Brawl) - I love this one! It's ridiculously simple but there's something so nice and epic about it. I love the visuals and I love when they explode the bridge. Hot damn, Zelda has some really excellent stages.

Norfair (Brawl) - My favorite of the Metroid lava stages by far. It's just really fun and I think the hazards are also really unique this time around.

Saffron City (64) - I love this. The Pokémon hazards are really fun and it's just an overall very nice level that feels pretty unique compared to later Pokémon levels.

Lylat Cruise (Brawl) - It's really simple but I always had a soft spot for this one. I love the stuff happening on the background, it's not distracting yet it's really cool looking.

Princess Peach's Castle (Melee) - This is a much better Peach's Castle level than the N64 one. Love the music and it makes me very nostalgic because of Smash Flash.

Great Bay (Melee) - Great Majora's Mask level based in my least favorite area in Majora's Mask.

Mushroom Kingdom II (Melee) - This is a very small level but that never really bothered me at all. I love the NES SMB2 visuals and I just like how simple yet nice it is.

Green Greens (Melee) - This stage slaps!......... I don't really have a lot to say I just like it. I like the bomb blocks, they can lead to some very funny moments.

Yoshi's Island (64) - I really like this. Yeah, it's basically Battlefield but hey I like the clouds and it looks very cute.

Brinstar Depths (Melee) - Very sick idea for a stage and I honestly really like it. Love the music as well, pretty atmospheric.

Flat Zone 2 (Brawl) - Much much MUCH better version of Flat Zone 1.

Skyworld (Brawl) - Really nice level, though the floor breaking gimmick can lead to some annoyances but overall I just find this one to be really really fun.

Port Town Aero Dive (Brawl) - This has a giant R.O.B. so it's automatically good.

Poké Floats (Melee) - This has never reappeared in any Smash game and that's really sad. I dunno it's just a really cool level.

Onett (Melee) - Onett is pretty good. The music is amazing and it's just a pretty unique stage. It's cool to see a 3D version of Onett.

Halberd (Melee) - Really great level. Also I love that the darker Kirby level can play the jolly Nature Area music, lol.

Fourside (Melee) - I never understood why the UFO has slippery ground but hey this level is really damn cool.

Pokémon Stadium (Melee) - This is a really fun one. The elemental variations are really fun and it's just a really solid Pokémon level.

Dream Land (64) - It's Battlefield with wind, lol. Doesn't change the fact that it's fun, and it has probably my favorite version of the Gourmet Race theme.

Spear Pillar (Brawl) - Really solid Pokémon level, even though the Pokémon hazards can be kinda bullshit at times.

Castle Siege (Brawl) - Pretty fun level. From what I've seen Fire Emblem levels in later games look really bland and uninteresting so I guess this is the only one that really stands out to me as being cool.

Yoshi's Story (Melee) - Kinda bonkers that they kept on making Yoshi's Story levels instead of Yoshi's Island but anyways, this level looks absolutely pretty and the music is really nice but I think I still prefer the N64 level.

Summit (Brawl) - Really cool level for the Ice Climbers. I love the remixes of classic (and obscure) Nintendo titles such as Clu Clu Land and Shin Onigashima.

Yoshi's Island (Brawl) - Finally they recognized that Yoshi's Island is the Yoshi game that really matters. This is just a really nice level. I love the Yoshi's Island visuals and I think the season changing gimmick is just really cool.

Peach's Castle (64) - Really odd stage but I guess I like it, it looks nice. But it's really weird, it's just a bunch of random shapes turned into Mario platforms and the lower platforms have no ledges to grab at all (at least in the original I've heard that they fixed this is the newer games). But yeah still a pleasant Mario 64 stage.

Green Hill Zone (Brawl) - I love using the checkpoints to hit the other players, lol. Not one of my favorites but definitely great for a Sonic based level.

Distant Planet (Brawl) - Cute Pikmin level. I love to make the big Bulborb eat the other players, lol.

Frigate Orpheon (Brawl) - It's a good level but I just don't find it's gimmick to be anything really cool. It's just okay, but hey the level is still good.

Fountain of Dreams (Melee) - The orchestrated music is fantastic and the visuals are really gorgeous even to this day. But yeah this is pretty much Battlefield with slippery ground and I'm not the biggest fan of that. Still good stage though.

Kongo Jungle (64) - It's a very standard stage the more I think about it but I'm fine with it. The barrel can be very stupid though, lol.

Pokémon Stadium 2 (Brawl) - I think I still prefer the Melee level more but this is still cool.

Mute City (Melee) - I don't remember this one very well, lol. I'm much more used to Brawl's Port Town but uhhhhhh I remember it being fun.

Kongo Falls (Melee) - Simultaneously better and worse than the N64 Kongo Jungle. Worse because I think the N64 level had visuals that really resembled Donkey Kong Country while this just looks like a normal jungle. Better because it has the DK Rap, baybeeeeeee.

Mushroom Kingdom (Melee) - I legitimately forgot this existed, lmao. Better and much simpler than the N64 version as well.

Rainbow Cruise (Melee) - Not the biggest fan of side-scrolling stages but I don't really mind this one that much. It has a nice feeling to it that I honestly can't explain, it's just fun.

Big Blue (Melee) - I guess I like it. I mean I love the music but... I dunno it's a cool concept, it can be really fun but sometimes it can be really... not very fun. I guess I still like it at the end of the day.

Mario Circuit (Brawl) - This name is a lie, this is actually Figure-8-Circuit from Mario Kart DS. Anyway, yeah this is fine. Don't really mind this one that much but I don't think it's bad.

Final Destination (Brawl) - I think I have stronger feelings for the Final Destination stages rather than the Battlefield stages because of the cool visuals. So with that said... yeah this is a cool one but the ledges suck and Melee still has the coolest version of the stage.

Battlefield (Brawl) - I never had any strong feelings for Battlefield and I think I'm not the only one who feels like this. I don't have anything against it, I just don't really have anything special to say about it.

Yoshi's Island (Melee) - I don't have any strong feelings on this one but I think I like it. I love the Super Mario World visuals and... uh... that's about it. There is a really stupid pit at the middle of the stage though.

Brinstar (Melee) - This is just the N64 Planet Zebes again except they added a neat gimmick to it this time around.

Venom (Melee) - Forgot about this one. It's fine, I don't really have any strong feelings about it, I like it more than Corneria and that's about it.

Flat Zone (Melee) - I mean... compared to Brawl's version this is really nothing, lmao. It's way too small and just not really memorable at all. The music slaps harder than Flat Zone 2 though (yes I said it).

Mushroom Kingdom (64) - Very weird level but I love the Super Mario Bros. visuals. I think that pipe that leads you to the pit at the very middle of the stage is stupid and very funny.

Planet Zebes (64) - Probably my least favorite of the original Smash. I've never been the biggest fan of these Metroid levels because of the lava. It's not a bad level I guess but it's far from my favorite.

Hanenbow (Brawl) - Eh. The visuals are awesome and I like how this level stands out from the others by only having sounds coming from the level itself....... but that doesn't save it from it being relatively bad.

Corneria (Melee) - This is just a worse version of Sector Z. I love the larger sized Great Fox in the N64 stage but here it's just way too small and feels cramped, I don't like this level at all.

Jungle Japes (Melee) - For some reason Nintendo just kind of assumed that the players love this stage. Seriously why THIS of all levels had to reappear in every Smash game that succeeded Melee?

New Pork City (Brawl) - They don't give us Mother 3, instead they give us a garbage Mother 3 stage in Smash.

Mushroomy Kingdom (Brawl) - This level blows, lol. I dunno where the idea of post-apocalyptic versions of 1-1 and 1-2 came from but honestly I like the idea. Problem is the aesthetics are lame as fuck and the stages are really bad.

Rumble Falls (Brawl) - Not as bad as Icicle Mountain but my god this level sucks.

Mario Bros. (Brawl) - This level is just broken, lmfao. Those enemies do way too much damage and can easily throw the players out of the stage.

75m (Brawl) - Out of all the huge levels, this has to be the worst one. I like the retro visuals but goddamn what a terrible mess.

Icicle Mountain (Melee) - This is borderline unplayable at points because of how fast the level scrolls. Worst Smash level. This sucks!
