Will you ever update this with later 2020’s games?

Tbh I didn’t think anyone else referenced this! It usually takes a few years for a game’s impact to be felt, but there were a few more I felt comfortable throwing in there :)

This is a great list! There are a couple I'm surprised aren't on here considering their influence, popularity and critical acclaim. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Odyssey, The Stanley Parable, Spider-Man (2018), Thomas Was Alone, Journey, Portal 2, Life is Strange, Horizon Zero Dawn, Far Cry 3, Deathloop, Gone Home, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Monster Hunter World, Apex Legends, Limbo, Rocket League, Splatoon, Shovel Knight, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Fallout: New Vegas, Super Meat Boy, Left 4 Dead (1 or 2), Dead Space, Mirrors Edge, Psychonauts, Kingdom Hearts 2, Garry's Mod.

I love these kinds of lists, and just thought I'd put in my two cents about games I think are also important! If you disagree with any of these I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on why you feel they don't belong, this is all subjective at the end of the day so I'd love to discuss!
