This list is for the purpose of documenting the sites highest rated games in a simple manner so that someone in search of what to play or just curious has a place to do so. These rules are designed to fulfill this.

Not including DLCs or separate versions of a game that only bundle it with the DLC. (Will include original version if bundle appears).

If both original and remaster/remake appear they will both get a list addition

Games with 2 versions (pretty much just Pokémon) will only include version with the highest score.

Visual novels only appear if a bundle with the entire self contained story is top-ranked.

No mods allowed, but fan games are.

For expanded versions of games, the expanded version only appears if it is higher rated than the original, if original is higher rated, you get the point.

If a port appears that is relatively the same as the original only the original will appear

For games like Wind Waker whose remaster consists mostly of texture upscales but also includes some improvements to gameplay I will only be including the "remake" as their is little to no reason barring completionism that necessitates playing both versions of the game.

Fan enhancements with no altering of original game content will appear as original release because there is no difference in content and therefore not worthy of additional entries.
